Dorothy has been providing comprehensive general dentistry in East Kent since 2009, offering a wide range of treatments including orthodontics and periodontics. She is passionate about delivering holistic care that addresses the needs of the whole person—not just their teeth.

In 2006, she earned a Postgraduate Diploma with distinction in Dental Clinical Sciences from Queen Mary University of London and gained Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England. She then spent two years as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at hospitals in North Bristol and East Kent. Dorothy successfully passed the Statutory Examination in 2008.

In 2016, she completed a Master’s degree with honours in Advanced General Dental Practice at King’s College London. She is also a certified Invisalign provider. Committed to lifelong learning, Dorothy is currently undertaking a Diploma in Fixed Orthodontics.

She has a special interest in:

• Orthodontics – straightening crooked teeth
• Periodontics – managing gum disease
• Caring for anxious or long-absent patients – helping them regain confidence in dental care

Dorothy is a member of both the British Dental Association and the British Orthodontic Society.

Dr Michael Richter is a highly experienced general dentist who has been delivering dental care with skill and compassion for over three decades. He graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Pretoria in 1991 and registered with the General Dental Council in 1993.

For more than 20 years, Dr Richter has been providing high-quality general dental services to the communities of Dover and Folkestone. His calm, approachable manner and thorough clinical care have earned him the trust and loyalty of generations of patients.

He offers a full range of general dental treatments and is dedicated to ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of every patient. Dr Richter believes in preventive, patient-centred dentistry and takes pride in supporting long-term oral health through clear communication and gentle treatment.

Theo graduated from the Dental School of Aristotle University in Greece in 2011 and has since practised general dentistry in both Greece and the UK. He has a special interest in aesthetic restorations, tooth surface loss, and complex prosthetic cases.

Theo completed a postgraduate Diploma in Operative Dentistry at King’s College London, enhancing his ability to manage advanced restorative treatments. He currently works in private practice in Kent and as a Specialty Dentist at King’s College Hospital, supervising dental trainees in complex restorative care.

Committed to continuous learning, Theo integrates the latest research into his clinical practice. He is known for his calm, patient-focused approach and dedication to high-quality care

Dr Hasan is a warm and compassionate general dentist at Dover Priory Dental, known for his gentle approach and ability to put even the most anxious patients at ease. He graduated with Honours from the University of Plymouth with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2022 and completed his Foundation Training in Kent.

Hasan is deeply committed to preventive and minimally invasive dentistry, with a particular passion for functional, restorative, and aesthetic care. He takes pride in building trusting relationships with his patients and delivering high-quality, personalised treatment within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Beyond the clinic, Hasan enjoys boxing, portrait oil painting, and advancing his skills through ongoing professional development—all with the aim of helping his patients achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles.

With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Lokesh Nagappa is a caring and dedicated orthodontist who puts patients at the heart of everything he does. After qualifying as a dentist in 1983, he went on to complete his Master’s in Orthodontics in 1993 and has focused solely on orthodontics ever since.

Known for his gentle approach and attention to detail, Dr. Lokesh is committed to helping every patient leave with a confident smile. He is also a certified Invisalign provider, offering modern, discreet treatment options.

Outside the clinic, his passion is golf—though his true drive is patient care.

Dr Priya Rasalam is an experienced and highly regarded general and cosmetic dentist with over 23 years of experience — the vast majority of it right here in East Kent, including Dover, Hythe, Ashford and the surrounding area. Having cared for local patients and families for more than two decades, she brings a deep familiarity with the community she serves.

Priya qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and went on to gain Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of England, followed by postgraduate training in Restorative Dental Practice at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. Her clinical approach is grounded in minimally invasive, aesthetic-focused dentistry, with an emphasis on long-term oral health and function.

She offers the full range of general and family dentistry alongside cosmetic and restorative treatments, including smile enhancement, orthodontics with Invisalign and Angel Aligners, tooth whitening, and facial aesthetics. Above all, Priya places great importance on communication and trust, and is known for her calm, gentle manner and for putting nervous patients and children at ease.

Outside of dentistry, Priya is a mum to two boys and enjoys an active, busy life — she likes a challenge, and has pushed herself out of her comfort zone over the years through everything from white-water rafting to skydiving and caving.

Sharon qualified as a Dental Hygienist in 1999 from the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital and became part of the Dover Priory Dental team in 2017. Before entering the dental field, she trained and worked as a teacher, and more recently, she has expanded her skill set by gaining a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.

Sharon is deeply committed to creating a positive and calming experience for every patient. Her gentle approach helps put people at ease, while her educational background allows her to clearly explain the techniques needed to achieve and maintain a healthy mouth.

She is passionate about patient care and strives to make every visit as relaxing and supportive as possible.

Kirsty is a compassionate and dedicated dental hygienist who joined our practice in 2024. She brings a wealth of experience, having qualified from the prestigious Eastman Dental Hospital in London in 2009. Known for her gentle approach and commitment to patient care, Kirsty works closely with patients to promote lifelong oral health.

Outside of work, Kirsty leads an active lifestyle. She enjoys swimming, running, walking her two dogs, and spending quality time raising her two children

Hollie has been working in dentistry since 2012, starting her career as a dental nurse before completing additional training to become a practice manager in 2019. She joined the Dover Priory Dental team in 2017 and now plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day running of the practice.

Known for her organisation and strong work ethic, Hollie ensures the smooth coordination of the surgeries and supports the dental team in delivering high-quality patient care. She has also volunteered with Dental Mavericks, helping provide dental support to vulnerable communities in Morocco—an experience she found deeply rewarding.

Outside of work, Hollie is kept busy by her young daughter. She also enjoys reading, fitness, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Jodie brings over 20 years of experience in dentistry and qualified in 2007 with an NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing. Her extensive experience and calm, reassuring nature make her a valued member of the Dover Priory Dental team.

Jodie is caring, considerate, and passionate about patient care. She takes the time to build trust with each patient, helping them feel relaxed and supported throughout their treatment. Whether assisting during procedures or offering a kind word of reassurance, Jodie is always focused on creating a positive experience.

Katie began her career as a Dental Nurse in 2019 and holds a Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing awarded by the NEBDN, a nationally recognised qualification registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). She further enhanced her expertise by achieving the BDA Education Certificate in Dental Radiography, which allows her to take radiographs independently and safely.

Known for her kind, calm, and understanding nature, Katie naturally puts patients at ease. She is also conscientious and efficient, ensuring that every procedure runs smoothly and patients receive the best possible care. Her compassionate approach and attention to detail help create a positive experience for everyone she cares for. Katie takes great pride in making sure every patient feels comfortable, safe, and warmly welcomed at Dover Priory Dental.

Sushmita is a highly experienced dental nurse dedicated to delivering compassionate care, particularly to anxious patients. She works hard to ensure each person feels calm and comfortable throughout their treatment.

She is proficient in using the advanced technologies available at the practice and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of infection control. Sushmita prioritises patient safety and comfort at every stage of care. Her mission is to create a reassuring and professional environment where patients feel at ease while receiving exceptional, empathetic treatment.

Chloe is the first smiling face you’ll see when you walk into Dover Priory Dental. She joined the team in February 2024 and has quickly become an essential part of the practice.

From managing a busy front desk to answering calls, booking and adjusting appointments, and handling patient enquiries, Chloe ensures everything runs smoothly. She takes the time to get to know each patient, helping them feel relaxed and at ease from the moment they arrive.

Outside of the practice, Chloe is a keen runner. She has completed the Rome Marathon and continues to take on new running challenges.
